Who We Are

Growing Forward Consultancy was founded by Dr. Glenda Washington.   Dr. Washington’s educational background and training include City University of New York (BA, Elementary Education), Columbia University (MA, Curriculum and Instruction), Nova Southeastern University (Ed, D. School Leadership), National Institute for School Leaders (NISL-Leadership), and National Association for Elementary School (NAESP Certified Mentor).  She has extensive knowledge in School Administration Management (SAM), Response to intervention (RTI), and the Data Wise process.

Dr. Washington has twenty-years of leadership experience in New York, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Virginia, District of Columbia, and Maryland.  These experiences include holding administrator positions of various school configurations with elementary, middle, and junior high schools, both public, and charter.  She has also directed a wide range of school programs such as Arts Integration and Spanish Emersion.

Dr. Washington approaches challenges and growth opportunities by utilizing her own strengths. She is strategic, an achiever, activator, relater, and focus-driven (StrengthsFinder).  Glenda is personable and enjoys reading, walking and traveling.  She has also learned from her extensive travels to several places such as the Continents of Africa, Australia, Asia, Europe and North America including Canada, Mexico, Caribbean Islands, and most of the states in the United States. Glenda approaches life with exuberance and has the heart of a teacher! She looks forward to serving you!
